EE101 Digital Control with Embedded Systems

Scheduled on Tue/Thr 9:30 - 10:45am at Kalkin Room 325
plus Lab sessions at Votey Room 308B

1. Description
Applications of single-chip microcomputers as embedded systems for data acquisition/real time control. Assembly language; parallel and serial ports; timers; counters; A/D and D/A. Laboratory.

2. Prerequisites
EE100. 4 Credits. No credit for EE majors.

1) Midterm Examination I (20%): 75 minutes In-class exam covered during lectures
2) Midterm Examination II (20%): 75 minutes In-class exam covered during lectures
3) Final Examination (20%): 150 minutes In-class exam in the exam week on May 7
4) Homework (15%): about 7 assignments for home studies
5) Quiz(10%): quiz every week
6) Lab reports (15%): about 7 assignments
7) Project Presentation and Web Publishing (5%)
8) Class Contributions (bonus up to 10%): questions/answers by volunteers every class based on sign-up sheet
